rail
noun
1. a bar of wood or metal fixed horizontally for any of various purposes, as for a support, barrier, fence, or railing.

Having played “Shrek the Musical” over 200 times as of this writing, I’ve received a lot of interesting questions on a variety of topics from the patrons who like to hang out by the pit, or the “rail”, before and after the show. Most of the time they just want to see what’s going on in that dark mysterious space between them and the front lip of the stage – and who can blame them? There’s so many interesting sounds coming from down there, and the inhabitants are wearing all black, like they’re in some sort of strange cult. Clearly, there are questions to be asked. Some questions are expected, others are not (however they don’t seem to surprise me at this point). Sometimes their questions are in the form of an incorrect statement to their child, meant for you to overhear.

To reintroduce my website and blog to the world, I will be answering their questions in written form, right here on this very site. I hope you will find their questions and my answers both informative, and entertaining. I also hope that if you have questions of your own, you will e-mail them to me.

Stay tuned!
